About Us
Our Mission
The Genoa Area Chamber of Commerce has a mission statement to "advance and develop commercial, agricultural, industrial, civic and general interests of the Village of Genoa and all adjacent communities". We are a diverse organization promoting many activities.
The Genoa Chamber is an all-volunteer organization that encourages its members to get involved in all the activities such as membership, special events and communications.
Our newsletter called "The Chamber Chatter" is emailed on a monthly basis keeping members and the community up-to-date on current events, who's a member, new members, highlighting a few businesses in detail in each publication and other timely issues. "Business after Hours" is a fun event. They are well attended, you get to visit a great location, and it's a chance for like-minded business and community people to get together. Breakfast, lunch or dinner meetings and seminars inform the membership on current topics of interest.
The Genoa Area Chamber of Commerce offers a scholarship to a Genoa High School student majoring in business. Just for fun, a Mud Hens Night has been held and a visit to the Kelly Miller Circus is fun when in town.
Through its association with the Northern Ohio Area Chambers of Commerce (NOACC), the Genoa Chamber is able to offer member benefits that rival large chambers, such as health, life, disability, and long-term care insurance, workers compensation group rating programs, managed care organizations, retirement plan administration, credit card and payroll processing. Other benefits include discounts on business planning workbooks, employee testing, shipping and freight, website development and wellness programs.
The Chamber encourages leaders to get to know one another, share ideas for the enrichment of the community, work together and helping the area grow. There's strength in numbers so we invite you to join today.
